Storm the Palace was a prize Sophie won in her parish raffle. The band's mouth-feel is both shambolic and neurotic with folk-pop on the tongue and an aftertaste containing hints of pettifogging. During the lockdown they underwent a metamorphosis from songs centred on 70s dinner food and domestic horror to songs inspired by 80s fantasy and domestic horror. Ragnar is a ballad on toxic masculinity and New Romantic glam, with lead vocals sung in a moment of weakness by confused bassist, Willa.
